Do you want to Work smarter, not harder as a Servant leader and entrepreneur?

A Servant leader and entrepreneur isn’t just someone who commands, but one who empathizes, serves, and inspires. In entrepreneurship, like in this vivid depiction of sacrifice and guidance, true leadership means knowing the path, walking it yourself, and then lighting the way for others to follow. John C. Maxwell once said, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” Let this artwork be a reminder of the profound impact our actions have on those we lead.

“There is no failure. Only feedback” – Robert Allen

As obstacles and rejections in life close doors and opportunities disappear or are postponed, it is easy for a servant leader to become emotional and feel disappointed, especially when a lot of effort, energy, prestige, and time have been invested both professionally and personally. One perspective to handle and deal with these thoughts and feelings regarding disappointment and self-pity is to change perspective: “There is no failure. Only feedback,” as stated by Robert Allen. Once you have landed on and accepted this new perspective, it is time to take action and stop feeling sorry for yourself regarding feelings of rejection and defeat by obstacles that you have not yet overcome to achieve your goals. One piece of advice I have personally used and highly recommend is “Mistakes should be examined, learned from, and discarded; not dwelled upon and stored.”This quote is attributed to Robert Allen. It is not easy to do, but it works.

As Maya Angelou famously said, “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” As a Servant leader, you control how you lead, how you inspire, and how you communicate. You can also control your energy level to a certain point. Just remember, leadership is not about you; it’s about being present, truth-seeking, and serving others to strive for and achieve excellence. If you fail, learn from it and change. If you succeed with your Servant leadership, learn from it and share the tacit knowledge and experience with the next generation, and transform your understanding of success into kindness and humility. Or, as George Bernard Shaw stated, “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
